Oasis Ottoman Scuff-Off
Fashion Suedes and “Flesh-out” leathers
This is an innovation combining our famous ‘ottoman’ sandwich-dying and Desert Oasis tannage. The suede is designed with two compatible colours within the same leather, to create a fashion contrast over selected areas of the shoe. The base colour is normally brighter than the surface colour and by “scuffing” the lasted shoe with an abrasive paper, the base colour is exposed to greater or lesser degree. This creates a unique interest in the shoe, over selected areas. The natural open structure of the Desert Oasis particularly lends itself to this process, such that the leather can be readily scuffed or used as it is with the central colour providing contrast on exposed cut edges.
